About:
The River Room is a loft style room with one 3/4 size double bed. If you are over 6 feet tall, I would consider another rental.  It has beautiful windows, skylight right above the bed, a massage table on the deck, patio chairs and small table, and a sliding patio door onto a balcony overlooking the river and the mountains around. We provide the comfortable bedding (duvet), linens, towels, and the candles for your wonderful evenings in this beautiful space. There are solar lights in the River Room for some basic lighting. It is a basic, self sufficient cabin with no heat or running water (water is provided in a water jug) in the Room. Be prepared for a “camping” experience.

Kitchen:
Close by there is a shared (with Teepee guests) cooking area with a 2 burner propane stove, sink with hot & cold water, bear cache,  and kitchen utensils/plates/pots. Bring a cooler along if you need to store any food items cold. We have freezer packs up at the office you can switch out.  We ask that you store your food either in your car, in the River Room,  or in the food cache provided, during the night and when you are gone for the day.  A HOT water on demand outdoor shower is located behind the kitchen shelter.  Towels are provided.  An outhouse is about 100 ft (30m) away from the River Room.

What to bring:
There is no electricity at the River Room (off-grid) so please bring a flashlight along. For cool evenings/mornings – even in the warm summer months – we suggest you bring a warm sweater, gloves, and hat. We are located in the mountains and it can cool down noticeably at night.

Bear information:
Our property is located in a wilderness/mountain environment so that means that we are lucky enough to have wildlife around; from spiders, squirrels, to deer, and to the occasional bear. When you arrive we will go over the guidelines for camping in Bear Country. The kitchen area must remain clean and tidy. Do not leave food, recycling, or garbage in the area. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to ask. We have NEVER had a problem with bears because we take care not to be the problem!

Other Information:
There is Wireless Internet available up at the Office from 8am to 9pm. And an emergency phone if needed. Cell phones may or may not work. At the office you can also charge any items that you need to.

The use of the hot tub is available to River Room guests only upon booking a massage.

Access:
The parking area for the River Room guests is about 100ft (30m) away from the River Room. This parking area is only available to those guests who have a 4×4 or AWD vehicle (no exceptions). Be prepared to carry your gear that distance. If your vehicle is not suited for the road, you will have to park in the lodge parking area which is an additional 100ft away up on top of the bank overlooking the Blaeberry River. A wheel barrow can be provided to haul your gear.

Note: this is a “camping” experience so please be prepared. When coming to stay in the River Room we encourage you to arrive early, i.e before night fall. This will simply make your experience that much more comfortable.
