The Golden BC area, and in particular where we live in the Blaeberry Valley, is a winter getaway, from November to April! Weather/snow conditions of course are variable! The ever changing conditions of Mother Nature keeps us on our toes 🙂

Winter is a magical time at Quantum Leaps Retreats in Golden, BC! Whether you are skiing, snowshoeing, or simply relaxing by the wood stove, winter magic awaits you in the Golden, BC area. Quantum Leaps Retreats offers a unique and wonderful winter getaway for your family or group… where you can avoid the crowds and enjoy your Canadian Rockies winter vacation. You can snowshoe or cross-country ski right from Quantum Leaps property on the Blaeberry River. There are snowshoes here you can use for free! You have access to countless miles/kilometres of untracked snow in the Blaeberry Valley. And you can go tobogganing down the hill from the Lodge or build a snowman too!
Golden, BC also has beautiful groomed and tracked cross-country ski trails called the Dawn Mountain Nordic Ski Trails located just past the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. The Golden Nordic Ski Club maintains and takes care of this Ski area! Set for both classical and skating, there are 30km of beautiful trails. From beginners to advanced classic and skate skiers there is something for everyone. There are also 6km of track-set trails for Classic skiing at the Golden Golf Course. Another beautiful way to enjoy an afternoon out.
