Living Tai Chi — I am inviting you to join me on the journey to find stillness through the art of Tai Chi. First we learn the form. Every class we add one move into our sequence, learning basic principles, practising our patience by moving very slowly and working on many little details. Repeating at home what we memorized in class during the week is one the greatest gifts Tai Chi offers: the journey of self discovery. As we progress, the sequence gets longer but with regular practice everybody is able to perform it independently. That is the beauty of Tai Chi! Everyone can do it, there is no need for a special place or equipment, and any person can enjoy it on a sunny beach or on the top of the mountain as well as in little living room. May your steps be light but grounded May your mind be still May your spirit reach high.

Define Yoga — is both a question and a challenge. Can you define it? How would you define Yoga? Definitions shape our experience of the world. They structure and inform the way we process information, forge human relationships and communicate with others. At Define Yoga we navigate this curios myopia with interest, and without allegiance to one school or tradition of Yoga or another. We believe in a high standard of Yoga education without expectation or fear of failure, or organization. Define Yoga is an exploration of definition: the way we define our bodies; the patterns which make up our minds; the characteristics by which we define ourselves. Our students are encouraged to explore with us, in a curious navigation of each, without taking self definitions too seriously. Because it is fun and empowering. But also, necessary.

Balance Quest — Tracey has been going to Europe to study with Thich Nhat Hanh on a regular basis since 1999. Her passion is to take teachings from Thich Nhat Hanh and teach others how to calm their minds, find inner peace and happiness by living more in the present moment through her Mindfulness coaching, classes, workshops and retreats.  She hosts a Mindfulness Yoga and Meditation Retreat twice a year at Quantum Leaps. We’ve been doing this together over the last 9 years! “Life can only be found in the present moment.”- Thich Nhat Hanh

Language of Yoga — When we practice yoga with writing, we allow this physical tension to release – and with it, the voice of the editor begins to dissolve, losing its hold on our lives. What a relief it is to breathe and live more freely. Combining yoga with writing allows us to access our innate creativity. It gives us a sense of our own limitless possibilities. Michele will be hosting her students here at Quantum Leaps in June 2017. The practices of yoga and writing provide so many benefits. Many students have found dramatic changes in their health, their relationships, and their sense of well being.

Stephanie StaniforthStephanie’s passion is Yin and Yang Yoga.  Based out of Calgary, AB she teaches Silent Yoga Retreats here at Quantum Leaps Lodge and Retreats.  As a teacher she strives to make you feel safe, supported, and confident while educating you on the deep principles of the Yogic tradition.

We are deeply concerned with the unprecedented destruction of our Mother Earth and the destruction of indigenous ways of life. We believe the teachings of our ancestors will light our way through an uncertain future. We look to further our vision through the realization of projects that protect our diverse cultures: lands, medicines, language and ceremonial ways of prayer and through projects that educate and nurture our children.
